Gypsy Rose Blanchard is celebrating another milestone in her relationship with her boyfriend Ken Urker — a romantic home-cooked meal.
The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up star, 33, told her followers that she was cooking Urker dinner for the first time in a YouTube video posted on Friday, Aug. 30 (with highlights posted on TikTok).
“So, tonight I am cooking dinner for Ken,” she told the camera in the YouTube video. “This is the first time that I will be cooking a dinner for him. Usually, he’s the one that’s always cooking for me.”
“He is at work right now and he does not know that I am planning this romantic dinner tonight,” she said of Urker, before revealing that she was making spaghetti and meatballs and showing off the recipe she was following from a book.
After showing off a pan of meatballs that were cooking on the stove, Blanchard admitted that she preferred to eat spaghetti with “Lit’l Smokies” cocktail sausages, so she had a separate bowl for her dish.
She had “creole seasoning” with bell pepper and onion, a jar of Prego sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes with green chiles and spices for the sauce, as seen in video footage from Urker’s kitchen.
Blanchard filmed a sped-up version of making the sauce before moving the camera into a bedroom to talk while folding laundry.
The expectant mother explained to the camera that she was planning the “romantic night” for Urker because he has been “amazing” during her pregnancy.
“I want him to be happy and I want him to want to be with me,” Blanchard continued before going into a long story about when the couple met for the first time while she was in prison and have been through a lot while together and apart.
Urker made an appearance at the end of the video to tell viewers what he thought of his girlfriend’s first romantic dinner.
“I’m excited to try [Gypsy’s] cooking, it’s really hot though,” he said before his first bite.
“It’s very good, very good,” Urker announced after a forkful of spaghetti. “10 out of 10.”

Blanchard posted another food-related first earlier in August when she tried Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes for the first time.
“Now maybe if it was a cold day, the warm would be better, but it is Southern Louisiana, so I do like the iced better,” she said after trying both varieties.
Blanchard, a victim of Munchausen by proxy, served eight years of a 10-year prison sentence for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. While in prison, she married Ryan Anderson in 2022 and filed for divorce in April. On July 9, Blanchard and Urker announced they are expecting their first baby together.
